The high frequency splitter is used to split off the satellite trunk lines to two separate multiswitches.  These are only available in a one input and two output model and four of the HFS2’s must be used in all installations. They have a very low loss so additional amplification isn’t needed because of these items.  These can not be used to split off the WBS multiswitches to connect two receivers. Wideband DC taps are used to expand a cascade system. They tap off a system backbone and create multiple distribution options. These are available in a single output model or in a four output model.
